ABOUT BRASS ON IVORY MUSIC
Brass on Ivory Music was begun on September 18, 1990 with a step of faith as found spoken in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” With that step of faith came the assurance that God was with us. By a postcard sent to us by The Shepherd’s Guide shortly afterwards referring to
Joshua 1: 8 & 9 “8 This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall deal wisely and have good success. 9 Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
That verse set us up as a home-based business, where the repair of musical instruments was the income. It grew to include the rental of band and orchestra instruments, which very shortly pushed the business out of the house and into its present location in 1997. By the grace and movement of God we were able to expand in 2006 to twice our size. God has kept His promise and continues to be with us as we continue to serve Anne Arundel County and the surrounding area.
Vision:
to create a campus with an environment for musician’s where they discover and develop their gift while also developing their spirit, soul, and body to ultimately dominate the world with the kingdom of God through music.
Mission:
to sell music products and provide music services which will inspire and empower musicians to create and live an abundant life by using their faith and the power of music to influence their communities and the world in a positive way.
